During this 1-day workshop each Parent/child pair will create 2 original pieces. A variety of techniques will be taught, covering basic construction methods including slab work, coiling, pinching and throwing on the wheel! Decorative finishes will be achieved by working with texture, incision and coloured slips. Two finished pieces will be glazed and fired for a durable finish. These will be ready for collection within a few weeks, so why not surprise friends and family with some unique handmade pieces. The workshop will be led by ceramic artist Ima Kawamura who has extensive teaching experience.
